About the role
SplicePoint's foundation is in place: a multi-tenant Next.js and Supabase platform with row-level security, an application shell, and a public site. Now we need an engineer to turn it into the product fiber contractors run their jobs on.
You'll build features end to end — schema, security policies, server logic and interface — and you'll work directly with the founder and with field users to decide what gets built next.
What you'll work on
- Field capture: recording footage, structures, GPS photos and splices from a phone, including in areas with poor coverage
- Maps and geospatial data for routes, structures and network assets (PostGIS)
- Project, crew, production and billing-quantity workflows for managers
- Network documentation — cables, tubes, strands and splices — modeled as connected data
- Performance, reliability and security across a multi-tenant platform
What we're looking for
- You've shipped production web applications with TypeScript and React, and you're comfortable on the server and in SQL
- You make sound decisions on your own and explain the tradeoffs
- You care about the people using the software, including on a phone in the sun with gloves on
- You'd rather ship a small, solid feature this week than a large one next quarter
Nice to have
- Next.js App Router, Supabase or Postgres row-level security
- Offline-capable or mobile-first applications
- Geospatial work (PostGIS, Mapbox, MapLibre)
- Experience in telecom, construction or field-service software
